Our simple process

Quick consult (10–20 minutes)

We learn what matters most: your timeline, budget, doctors, prescriptions, and priorities.

Compare options (side-by-side)

We show you clear tradeoffs:

  • Monthly premium vs out-of-pocket exposure
  • Network access (your doctors/hospitals)
  • Prescription coverage at your pharmacy
  • Coverage rules and what to expect

Enroll and confirm next steps

We help you complete enrollment correctly and understand what happens next (effective dates, ID cards, first payments, etc.).

Support after enrollment

Life changes. Plans change.

We help with questions, updates, renewals, and annual reviews.

What we need from you (so we can make good recommendations)

  • Your zip code and county
  • Doctors you want to keep
  • Prescriptions + dosages
  • Preferred pharmacies
  • Your timeline (need coverage now vs planning ahead)
  • Your priorities (low premium, predictable costs, provider flexibility, etc.)

If you’re a business owner (employer benefits):

  • Company size + locations
  • Target effective date
  • Employee census basics (DOBs/zip codes/tiers)

Enrollment timing: can I enroll right now?

Individual & Family (Marketplace / Connect for Health Colorado)

Typical Open Enrollment window:

  • Nov 1 – Jan 15 (dates can vary slightly by year)

Outside Open Enrollment:

  • You may qualify for Special Enrollment after certain life events (loss of coverage, marriage, birth/adoption, moving, etc.).

Medicare

Common timing windows:

  • Medicare Open Enrollment (AEP): Oct 15 – Dec 7 (changes typically effective Jan 1)
  • Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment (MA OEP): Jan 1 – Mar 31 (if you’re already in a Medicare Advantage plan)
  • Initial Enrollment Period (IEP): generally begins 3 months before the month you turn 65 and ends 3 months after

Employer Group Benefits

  • Most group plans can be set up throughout the year.

  • If you’re renewing, we recommend starting 60–90 days before your renewal date.

Does it cost more to work with a broker?

Short answer:

In many cases, you don’t pay extra to work with a broker. Brokers are often compensated by the insurance company through commissions built into the plan premium.

Important Colorado note:

In Colorado, brokers may charge a fee in certain situations (for example, if the broker will not receive a commission), but this requires written disclosure and agreement. No fee can be charged in connection with an enrollment in Medicaid or CHP+.

Our promise:

If any broker fee would apply, we disclose it clearly in writing before you decide.

What makes our approach different

What you can expect:

  • Plain-English explanations (no jargon)
  • Side-by-side comparisons based on your real inputs
  • A recommendation that matches your priorities and timeline
  • No-pressure guidance (you decide)

What we avoid:

  • “One-size-fits-all” plans
  • Confusing sales scripts
  • Promises about approvals, subsidies, pricing, or outcomes

What happens after you enroll

Typical next steps:

  • Confirm your effective date
  • Watch for your ID cards and plan documents
  • Set up your online member portal (recommended)
  • Verify your doctors and prescriptions once coverage begins

Ongoing support:

If something changes (new job, moved, new medication, new dependent), we’ll help you understand your options.
