Open Enrollment 2027
Your 2027 Health Insurance Renewal: What to Know
Cigna members: action required
Cigna is leaving the individual health insurance market in Colorado. Cigna enrollees will not be re-enrolled for 2027 and need to choose a new carrier. Use the Colorado doctor finder to check which plans include your doctors, then book a time with us and we will help you pick.
How renewal works
- If you are eligible for renewal, Connect for Health Colorado will automatically re-enroll you before Open Enrollment begins.
- If you want to shop or change plans, you will need to submit a new eligibility application.
- Shopping for a new plan does not cancel your 2027 enrollment.
Check your Connect for Health documents
- Your Renewal Enrollment or Exclusion Notice is sent in late October.
- It will be in "My Documents" in your Connect for Health portal by October 28, 2026.

Frequently asked questions
Do I have to do anything if I am happy with my plan?
If you are eligible for renewal and your carrier is staying, you will be renewed automatically. We still recommend checking your notice in My Documents for any price or plan changes.
I have Cigna. What happens if I do nothing?
Cigna enrollees will not be re-enrolled for 2027, so you would not have coverage on January 1. Choose a new carrier by December 15, 2026.
Will shopping for a new plan cancel my current renewal?
No. Shopping requires a new eligibility application, but it does not cancel your 2027 enrollment.
When is the deadline?
Make changes by December 15, 2026 for coverage starting January 1, 2027.
